What’s in it

Under current law, a health care provider (provider) is required to obtain a certificate of need (CON) from the department of health and human services if the provider plans to offer a new institutional health service or a changed institutional health service. This bill defines “cancer care provider” and exempts cancer care providers from CON requirements.

From the explanation printed with the bill as introduced, written by the Legislative Services Agency. Amendments adopted later aren’t reflected. Full bill text
