What’s in it

This bill relates to shooting from roads. The bill prohibits a person from shooting any rifle, shotgun with a slug load, pistol, or revolver from any road. The bill defines “road” as the area of the highway right-of-way, including the shoulders, on which vehicles normally travel, and “shoulder” as the portion of a public road contiguous to the traveled way for the accommodation of disabled vehicles and for emergency use. The bill does not apply to any peace officer or military personnel in the performance of their official duties. A person who unlawfully shoots any rifle, shotgun, pistol, or revolver from any road is subject to a scheduled fine of $30.
